CHILDREN'S BOOK ILLUSTRATION | 3D

The adventures
of Paul Bunyan

 

I got really inspired by Bobby Bare's song about Paul Bunyan and drew this cover
of a children's book illustration where Paul would be a mean character that learned
a thing or two about the environment.

Another song that inspired me is Johnny Cash's  version of "mean as hell".

Below you can see I produced a quick visualization of what the final hard cover book would look like.

Maybe it's a project for the future, who knows?

Concept art | Character design | Digital painting

Digital painting and character design for the
Character Design challenge of this month.

Trying to achieve a different twist on a centaur character design, I came up with this idea of an
African looking tribal lizard slash dinosaur character design. This differs a lot from most designs
that represent traditional norse mythology styles or japanese styles.

In this example I noticed I'm getting closer to a digital painting style of my own, maybe developing
a taste for contrasting colors too :)

I used digital painting to produce a visualization of the character and its environment.

2D ANIMATION | FLASH CHARACTER RIGGING

A chicken-eating elephant rig test.

This is a rig test for a personal 2d animation project of mine (and friends) and yes the
elephant is  eating a chicken.

The rig was all made in Adobe Illustrator and Flash, the main softwares I use for 2d animation.
All the pieces of the character have been added to symbols and interpolated and can be used in many situations.

The vector drawings were mostly made by THIS GUY and the character design was made by THIS GUY.

A Challenge was brought to me with this simple explainer video project to be made in less than 7 days for a big event.

The idea of the client was to follow the process of how this great idea works in a community in Brazil (where I live). Although the character design
needed to be simple and straight forward, made almost in a complete hurry, the client got really happy and it was a lot of fun to produce this video.

This explainer video not only shows how the program works in this community of buyers and sellers but also how people can expand the network
by inviting other people and producing revenue from the purchases their friends make, All that helping ONGs in the process!

MISSING ESOP: Film noir style explainer animation video
about ESOP companies directed at CPAs

This project is a very special commission from a client that wanted an explainer video animation with a different twist to it.

The character design and concepts in general are based on the movie "Double indemnity" and various other noir style productions.

Below you can see some screens of the video.

The background for this animation was made in 3d, enabling various camera angles and better ambiance for the scenes.

The characters and some props were animated in Adobe flash and shadow effects were animated in After effects.

As a whole this project was both fun and a great opportunity to learn new techniques.

(as I never did that before) was to make a super cute lovely blonde girl.

I produced this kids comic book about bible stories
in 2015. This same comic book now has an app
under production, YAY!

I used Blender to create the 3d model, and 3d animation and texture for this quick project.
